Deep Pressure Styles:
Deep Tissue Massage - targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. The masseur uses slower strokes or friction techniques across the grain of the muscle. Deep tissue massage is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, poor posture or to aid in recovery from injury. People often feel sore for one to two days after deep tissue massage.
Sports Massage - is tailor-made for the athlete, and combines elements of Swedish and Shiatsu massage in targeting specific muscles used in sports. It prepares the athlete for peak performance by draining fatigue, preventing injuries, decreasing swelling and healing damaged tissue.
Deep Connective Tissue Massage - Deep connective tissue massage is a form of intense massage that aims to release myofascial (connective tissue) restrictions in the body, and to break up any restrictive scar tissue. It has also been known to help relieve chronic tension, to increase the body’s range of motion, to improve posture and to enhance the natural harmony of the entire body and mind.
